All Keys4u locksmiths are reliable locksmiths. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB check) checks are now known as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The DBS was formed out of a merger between the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB check) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
These checks are usually in place where an individual seeks to work with the vulnerable such as children or vulnerable adults. They are designed to protect these vulnerable groups against violation and abuse and root out potential offenders who pose a risk of harm from working with them. The process involves checking the police national computer and children and adults lists where applicable as well as police records.
Locksmiths do not work directly with children and vulnerable adults, therefore do not meet the criteria to have a mandatorily CRB check/DBS check. That said much of our work is carried out in schools, nurseries, care homes and hospitals and therefore the majority of our locksmiths have been vetted for your protection and peace of mind. We take your security very seriously and Keys 4 U routinely carries out background checks on most of their technicians prior to employing them.
